Both of his parents, mentioned in the obituary, are buried at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County. From The Macon Telegraph 5-18-1994 Page B4 Chrissie Griffin Grimsley DANVILLE---Chrissie Griffin Grimsley of Route 2 died Tuesday at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Twiggs County, he was the son of the late Chrissie G. and Sallie Fountain Grimsley. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. He was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II and was a retired farmer. Survivors: wife, Edith E. Grimsley of Danville and Athens; brother, Billie H. Grimsley of Danville. Services: 2PM Thursday in Prospect United Methodist Church, Twiggs County. Burial: Dublin Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Richard Jones will officiate. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight in Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin. The family may be contacted at the residence in Danville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Prospect United Methodist Church Building Fund.
