Hanson, 76, were held Sunday afternoon at Blue Springs Church. Rev. Henry Walker conducted the services and Sammons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were Ralph Spivey, T. M. Johnson, L. G. Snow, Ruel Spivey, C. G. Thigpen, and Leon Braddy. Mr. Hanson was a native of Washington County, but had resided in Soperton for the past two years, where he was engaged in farming. He had been in ill health for the past four years, but died of a heart attack at his home. His wife, the former Miss Onie Stewart died January 4, 1939. He was a membert of the Methodist church. Survivors include five sons, Jim Hanson, Esra Hanson, Talmadge Hanson, Albert Hanson of Swainsboro, Buddie Hanson, Graymont; five daughters, Mrs. John Johnson, ___, Ga., Mrs. A. D. Keen, Swainsboro, Mrs. Carl Smith, Scott, Mrs. John Amerson, Scott, and Mrs. Ruby Grimes, Warrensville, SC. There are also several surviving grand children. Additional Comments: Steve was born 2 Jul 1863 to William Charles Hanson/Hansell and Anna Eliza Brantley Hanson/Hansell. Georgia death certificate #31760.
