                         Edgar Hanson Jr. Rites This AM
 Funeral services for Edgar Hardy Hanson Jr., 29, of 2874 Sun Valley Drive, 
Macon, were held this morning in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary. Burial was at 
12:30pm here in Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Louis C. Knight officiated.
 Mr. Hanson, native of Laurens County, was the son of Edgar H. Hanson Sr. and 
Mrs. Ollie Foskey Hanson and had lived in Macon for a year. He was a veteran 
of the Korean War and a member of the Centenary Methodist Church of Dublin and 
was a aircraft electrician at Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Hanson was killed 
Thursday evening in a car wreck near Jeffersonville on US 80. 
 He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Shirley Gattie Hanson of Macon; two sons, 
Stevie and Joey Hanson of Macon; his mother, Mrs. Ollie Hanson and his father, 
Edgar Hanson of Dublin; two brothers, Wayne Hanson of Jacksonville, Fla. and 
Gary Hanson of Dublin.
