                          Bernard Merrill Harrison

 MONTROSE--- Bernard Merrill Harrison, 37 of Route 1 Montrose, died early this 
morning in a local hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 
held Thursday at 3:00pm at the chapel of Townsend Funeral Home with Elder 
Gradan Bennett, Elder Eugene Carroll, and Bishop L. J. Ussery officiating. 
Burial will be in Harrison Family Cemetery.

 A life-long resident of Laurens County, Mr. Harrison was a member of the 
Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and was a merchant by trade.

 Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Ann Carter Harrison, Montrose; two sons, 
Gregory Allen Harrison, Montrose and Bernard Michael Harrison, Montrose; 
parents; Mr. and Mrs. Willie L. Harrison, Montrose; two brothers, Wilton 
Harrison, Montrose and Harold Harrison, Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. Charline 
Clements, Dublin, Mrs. Beverly Thompson, Savannah, and Mrs. Martha Mason, Vero 
Beach, Fla.; grandparents, Mrs. Mattie Rabun, Montrose and Samson Parker, 
Empire.

 Pallbearers will be Raymond Cooper, Lamar Parker, Elliott Harrison, Dennis 
Cooper, Larry Harrison, Lynn Harison, Charles Mullis, and Curtis Mullis.

 The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 until 
9:00pm.

 Townsend Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Bernard was born 29 Jan 1940 to Willie Lafattie Harrison and Bertha Christine 
Parker Harrison. Georgia death certificate #015594.
