                             Mr. Hester
 Funeral services for Gordon Lee Hester, 76, of Dublin, formerly of Macon, 
will be held Friday at 2pm in the Union Baptist Church. The Rev. Douglas Bush 
and the Rev. W. E. Flanders will officiate. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery.
 Mr. Hester died Wednesday in a local hospital after being in declining health 
for several years.
 A native of Laurens County, he was the son of the late Eli and Rachel Spivey 
Hester. He was a retired employee of the Georgia Highway Department and a 
member of Union Baptist Church.
 Survivors include four sons, Hollis Hester of Augusta, Richard L. Hester of 
Gainesville,Fla., Kenneth Hugh Hester of Atlanta, and Carlos Hester of Rt. 4, 
Dublin; seven grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
 The body will lie in state at Adams Funeral Home until 1pm Friday when it 
will be placed in the church to remain until the funeral hour.
 The family will receive friends tonight from 7:30-9pm at the funeral home.

Additional Comments:
Gordon was born 2-3-1907. He was married, at one time, to Mary Etta Foskey 
Hester Merritt, who died 4-6-1977 and is buried at Red Bluff Missionary 
Baptist Church in Treutlen County.
