                            Carlos Hester
 Services for Carlos Hester, 59, of Route 8 Dublin, will be held at 11am 
Saturday in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Bush 
will officiate and burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
 A native of Bibb County, Mr. Hester was a resident of Laurens County for 21 
years and was the son of the late Gordon Hester and the late Mary Foskey 
Hester Merritt, was an Army veteran, and an employee of Dublin Construction 
for 16 years. He died Thursday at his home.
 Survivors include two brothers, Richard Hester of Gainesville, Fla and 
Kenneth Hester of Atlanta; a stepbrother, James Merritt of Soperton; and a 
number of nieces and nephews.
 Larry Stone, Wade Rowe, Billy Dice, Stewart Brodrick, Charles Alligood, and 
Jeff Hall will serve as pallbearers.
 The family will receive friends from 7:30-9 tonight at Townsend Brother 
Funeral Home, who has charge of arrangements.
