(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net April 24, 2012, 6:42 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 12-24-1990 Cleveland Hester Services for Cleveland Hester, 67, of Route 9 were held at 2pm Sunday in the chapel of Townsend Funeral Home. The Rev. James Frost and the Rev. Ronnie Powell officiated and burial was in Blue Springs Cemetery. A life-long resident of Laurens County, Mr. Hester was the son of the late Alfred Hester and the late Pauline Graham Hester, and was married to the late Jewel Rogers Hester. He as a Baptist, a farmer, and an avid sportsman. He was also the owner of a diesel and small engine repair shop. Mr. Hester died Saturday morning in a local hospital. Survivors include two sons, Michael Hester of Durhan, NC and Tren Hester of Dublin; a daughter, Judy Westcott of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Robert Hester of Dexter and Buddy Hester of Dublin; three sisters, Katie Mae Graham of Rockledge, Donnie Fulford of Slyvania, and Docia Hester of Warner Robins; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers included Hilton Miller, Joel Watson, Greg Barber, John Ware, O. D. Cullen, Marvin Tanner, Grady Screws, and James Stuckey. Additional Comments: Cleveland was born 27 Jun 1923.
