                     Charlie Horton Funeral Rites Set For Friday
 Funeral services for Charlie Horton, 61, of 212 East Columbia Street, will be 
held Friday afternoon at two thirty o'clock at the East Dublin Baptist Church 
with the Rev. J. C. Nalls, pastor, and the Rev. William Garrett officiating. 
Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery at Condor and Townsend 
Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 The body will lie in state at Townsend Chapel until two pm Friday when it 
will be placed in the church.
 A life-long resident of Dublin and Laurens County, Mr. Horton was the son of 
the late Dennis Horton and of the late Elevelina Davis Horton. He died this 
morning in a local hospital after having been in declining health for a long 
period of time.
 Mr. Horton is survived by his wife, the former Miss Pearl Foskey of Dublin; 
two sons, Delmar Horton and Charles Allen Horton, of Dublin; a daughter, Mrs. 
E. E. Hester of Dublin; two brothers, F. L. Horton of Moultrie and Alva Horton 
of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
