                            Sara L. Norris 
Funeral services for Mrs. Sara L. Norris, 92, of East Dublin, will be held 
Friday at 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Methodist Church in East Dublin with Rev. 
Tommy Veal officiating. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mrs. 
Norris was born September 13, 1912 in Laurens County to the late James E. and 
Leonia Wood Loyd. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Lollie. Mrs. 
Norris was predeceased by her husband, Julius Norris; five sisters, Arsula 
Warnock, Lily Mae Norris, Trudy Spivey, Mavil Raburn and Bessie Wynn; one 
brother, Jimmy Lee Loyd. She died Tuesday at Shamrock Nursing Home. Mrs. 
Norris is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Spivey of East Dublin; one 
granddaughter, Terry Helton and husband Bennie of Dublin; one grandson, Chuck 
Spivey and wife Wendy of Oakland, Ark.; six great-grandsons, Jason Helton and 
wife Candice of Rentz, Heath Helton of Dublin, Christopher Helton of Dublin, 
Julian, Jonathan, and Joshua Spivey from Oakland, Ark.; one great-
granddaughter, Michelle Helton of Dublin. Visitation will be held at Adams 
Funeral Home tonight from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Adams Funeral Home of Dublin is 
in charge of arrangements.
