(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net January 31, 2011, 4:09 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 2-7-1998 Dora Mae Melton Services for Dora Mae Melton, 59, of East Dublin, will be held at 2PM Sunday at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Marshall Singletary and James Frost officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Melton lived in East Dublin since 1958, coming from Titusville, Fla. She was the daughter of the late John W. and Fannie Mae Bush Tyson. She was a graduate of Brevard County High School in Titusville and a former employee of Piggly Wiggly, O. D. Cullens, and Williams Red & White. She was a member of Gethsemane Methodist Church. Mrs. Melton died Thursday in an Augusta hospital. Survivors include her husband, William Earl Melton of East Dublin; son, Bennett Earl Melton of Dublin; Debra Ann Kelley of Bluffton, SC; brothers, Wilmer Tyson of Morrow, Charles Tyson of Pensacola, Fla., Donald Tyson of Minter, and John Tyson of Dublin; sisters, Julie Belle Weaver of Ellijay, Patsy Burgess of Eagle Lake, Fla., Betty Jean Thigpen of Dublin, and Theresa Wigley of Hamilton, Ohio; and grandchildren, Tyler Allen and Ramsey Wade. The family will receive friends at Richard and Joyce Stanley Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9. Additional Comments: Dora Mae was born 19 Dec 1938. Georgia death certificate #006712.
