(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net April 1, 2009, 1:29 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 2-16-1970 Page 10 Mrs. Okella Foskey Mimbs Funeral services for Mrs. Okella Foskey Mimbs, 82, of 607 Vinson Village, will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Bethelehem Baptist Church to Condor with the Rev. Joel H. Roberson, pastor, and the Rev. C. E. Vines officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery and Townsend Brothers will direct the rites. Mrs. Mimbs will lie in state at the Townsend Chapel until 1:30PM Tuesday when it will be placed in the church. The family will be at 607 Vinson Village. A life-long resident of Dublin and Laurens County, Mrs. Mimbs died early this morning at her home after an extended illness. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and widow of Morris L. Mimbs. Her parents were the late George Foskey and Mrs. Georgia Ann Pope Foskey of this county. Her survivors are three sons, Wilburn Mimbs, George Elbert Mimbs, and James L. Mimbs, all of Dublin; three daughters, Mrs. Cleo M. Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Mazie M. Blue of Vass, NC, and Mrs. Rosalee Mequair of Savannah. A large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Additional Comments: Okellar was born 3-28-1887.
