                     Mr. Mimbs, Laurens Native
 Funeral services for Eustace Alton Mimbs, 76, of Dublin, will be held at 2pm 
Thursday at the Church of God, 500 Telfair St. The Rev. J. E. Harvell and the 
Rev. Perry M. Lamey will officiate. Burial will be in Union Primitive Baptist 
Church Cemetery near Dublin.
 A native of Laurens County, Mr. Mimbs was the son of the late Alfred and 
Cornelia Wood Mimbs. He was a retired carpenter and was affiliated with the 
Church of God.
 Mr. Mimbs died Tuesday in a local hospital after being in declining health 
for several years.
 Survivors include his wife, Retta Johnson Mimbs of Dublin; three daughters, 
Ruby M. Nelson and Billie Faye M. Graham, both of Dublin, and Evelyn M. Estes 
of East Dublin; three sons, Juarez Mimbs of East Dublin, Ray Mimbs of 
Brunswick, and Charles Mimbs of Dublin; a sister, Anges M. Garnto of 
Brunswick; a brother, T. L. Mimbs Sr. of Brewton; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-
grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
 Pallbearers will be Greg Graham, Lewis Foskey, Jack Warnock, Billy Garnto, J. 
W. Schuman, Johnny Maddox, Doyle Mimbs, and Alfrado Mimbs.
 The body will lie in state at Adams Funeral Home until 1pm Thursday when it 
will be placed in the church to remain until the funeral hour.
 The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mimbs, 106 Grady St. 
and will receive friends tonight from 7:30-9pm at the funeral home.
