Mullis Mrs. Mary Alice Howell Mullis, 87, Caldwell, died Monday in a Dublin hospital after being in declining health for two years. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2pm at the C. Homer Adams Chapel with Elder Franklin Bryant and Rev. Charles Franks officiating. Burial will be in Reedy Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Born in Dodge County, Mrs. Mullis lived most of her life in Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late Jacks Howell and Nancy Mullis Howell and was married to the late John Henry Mullis. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Laura Mullis, Caldwell, and Mrs. Lucy Warren, Warner Robins; one son, Ernest Mullis, Caldwell; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Trellie Stevens, Dexter; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers will be John I. Thomas, Dell Beck, Ronny Skipper, Bill Clark, Johnny Patisaul, and Michael Thomas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 to 9:00pm.
