              Funeral Rites For C. J. Norris Set Wednesday
 Funeral services for Charlie J. Norris, 61, of Rockledge, will be held 
Wednesday at three P.M. at the Union Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. T. 
H. Beckworth, the Rev. Earl Warnock, and the Rev. Douglas Bush officiating. 
Burial will be in the church cemetery and Sammons Funeral Home, of Soperton, 
is in charge of arrangements.
 The body will remain at the family home until the funeral hour.
 Active pallbearers will be Elvin Warnock, Dewey Warnock, Clinton Warnock, 
Edison Collins, Virgil Norris, and Robert Lee Webb. An honorary escort will 
include John Wynn, Eddie J. Young, J. W. Warren, Elmer Bush, E. C. Wynn, Frank 
Flanders, George Smith, Otis G. Branch, Alver Spivey, Laren Thigpen, Clarence 
McLendon, Richard Warnock, Shuman Rowland, Lamar Jones, and Lamar Bush.
 Mr. Norris died in a Dublin hospital Monday night after a long illness. He 
was a lifelong resident of Laurens County and was a farmer and member of the 
Union Primitive Baptist Church.
 He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae Lloyd Norris of Rockledge; one 
son, Hubert N. Norris of Rockledge; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Spivey of 
East Dublin and Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Rockledge; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Smith 
of Scott; two half-sisters, Mrs. Leather Sellars of Brunswick and Mrs. Dollie 
McDaniel of Monticello, Fla.; two brothers, William Norris of Rockledge and 
Julius Norris of East Dublin; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Additional Comments:
Charlie's parents were Rufus Norris and Maholia "Holley" Foskey.
