Mr V.E. Purvis Dead
Dropsy was the Cause of his Death
Thursday Morning
Yesterday morning Mr V.E. Purvis died at his home in Bailey district 
after an illness of a few weeks with dropsy. He was about sixty years 
of age, and had not been in good health for several months.
Mr Purvis is survived by a wife and five children. He was a member of 
Evergreen Methodist church, and was a good citizen. He was well known 
in Dublin and was formerly constable of Dublin district.
The remains of Mr Purvis will be interred at Poplar Springs today in 
the presence of his friends and relatives.
