Rowe, 57, of Abingdon, Va., will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the C. Homer Adams Chapel with the Rev. Charles Franks officiating. Burial will be in the Rentz Cemetery and Adams Funeral Home is in charge. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7pm until 9pm Wednesday. Mrs. Rowe's family requests that flowers be omitted but contributions to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Mrs. Rowe died Tuesday following a long illness. Native of Laurens County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Nida Lee Burch and the late Jim Burch. The former Miss Evelyn Burch, she was associated with a Stuckey store in Abingdon and was a former school teacher. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Rowe's survivors are her husband, Othnie L. Rowe of Abingdon; her mother, Mrs. Nida L. Burch of Montezuma; one son, Larry W. Rowe of Dublin; a daughter, Mrs. Carole Rowe Johnson of Abingdon; three granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. C. J. Bedingfield of Cadwell and Mrs. A. C. Culpepper of Montezuma.
