Both of his parents, Robert Daniel Shiver and Dora Holton Shiver, as well as his wife, Margaret Carroll Shiver, are also buried there. From The Macon Telegraph 11-15-1967 Page 9A Joel Hardy Shiver Funeral services for Joel Hardy Shiver, 71, of Dry Branch, who died yesterday in a local hospital following an extended illness, will be held at 2PM Thursday in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary with burial in Dudley.Mr. Shiver was born in Bibb County, the son of Robert F. Shiver and Mrs. Dora Holton Shiver and had lived in Dry Branch for nine years, going there from Homestead, Fla. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Carroll Shiver of Dry Branch; one daughter, Mrs. Roy Underwood of Dry Branch; six sons, H. F. Shiver of Blackwood, NJ, R. S. Shiver of Florida City, Fla., Earl Shiver of Dublin, James Shiver and Gene Shiver, both of Macon, J. C. Shiver of Dry Branch; 25 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Heath of Dudley, Mrs. Willie Darsey of Alamo, Mrs. Myrtle Montgomery of Toomsboro; one brother, R. F.
