(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net April 2, 2012, 11:12 am The Dublin Courier Herald 7-2-2009 Jack Simons Funeral services for Mr. Jack Eugene Simons, age 77, will be held at 10am on Friday, July 3, 2009 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow at Brewton Cemetery, Mr. W. L. Simons will officiate. Mr. Simons was born on February 15, 1932 in Treutlen County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Cecil and Nora Lee Curl Simons. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Holmes; two brothers, Lanier Simons and Royce Simons; and a sister, Millie Bowman. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and Laurens Lodge 75 F&AM. He was a retired as a self-employed contractor. He was an avid golfer. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Simons passed away on Wednesday. July 1, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Simons is survived by his loving wife, Waudena Simons of Dublin; a son, Mike (Barbara) Simons of Dublin; a daughter, Theresa (Floyd) Holmes of Dublin; two brothers, W. L. Simons of Tarrytown and Truman Simons of Fayetteville; a sister, Christine Johnson of Lothair; four grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Pallbearers will be Frank Pittman, Wallace Miller, Eli Holmes, Paul Homes, Michael Simons, and Matthew Simons. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, July 2, 2009 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, Dublin Chapel, has charge of arrangements.
