                           Mrs. Bertha Smith
 Mrs. Bertha Smith, 72, of 151 Circle Drive East Dublin, died early Thursday 
AM at her residence after being in declining health for some time. She was a 
native of Treutlen County, the daughter of the late Steve Hanson and Onnie 
Stewart Hanson. She was a resident of Dublin for most of her life and a member 
of Bay Springs Baptist Church.
 Services will be held at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Friday at 
3:00 with Rev. James H. Frost and Rev. William Garrett officiating. Burial 
will be in Graham Memorial Gardens.
 Survivors include her husband, William C. Smith, East Dublin; one son, Jack 
B. Smith of Macon; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Lovett of Milan and Mrs. Travis 
Bracewell of Dublin; four brothers, Buddy Hanson, Talmadge Hanson, Ezra 
Hanson, all of Soperton and Albert Hanson of Dublin; and one sister, Mrs. Ada 
Johnson of Augusta.
 The body wil lie in state at Graham Memorial Church from 2pm Friday until the 
funeral hour.
