             Services For Mrs. Spivey Set Tuesday
 Services for Bessie Mae Spivey, 55, of Rt. 1 Cadwell, will be held at 11am 
Tuesday at the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Myron Wise 
will officiate and burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
 A lifelong resident of Laurens County, Mrs. Spivey was a retired employee of 
the Dublin VA Center. She was married to the late Ralph Herschel Spivey and 
her parents were the late John Thomas and Annie Myers Thomas. Mrs. Spivey died 
Sunday at a local hospital following an extended illness.
 Survivors include five daughters, Kathy Cooper of East Dublin, Betty Forbes 
of Dublin, Sandra Etheridge of Toomsboro, and Peggy Crooms and Linda Walker, 
both of Cadwell; a brother, Odell Thomas of Rentz; a sister, Carolyn Sparks of 
Fort Pierce, Fla.; and 17 grandchildren.
 The family will receive friends at Townsend Funeral Home tonight from 7:30 to 
9pm.
