                            Foy Edgar Spivey
 Services for the Rev. Foy Edgar Spivey, 76, of 207 Country Club Road, Dublin, 
will be held at 11am Tuesday in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. 
The Rev. Raymond Dunn and the Rev. James Ellis Boyd will officiate. Burial 
will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
 A lifeling resident of Laurens County, the Rev. Spivey was the son of the 
late Arthur and Francis Stewart Spivey and a member of Blue Springs Baptist 
Church. He was a retired machinist from J. H. Perry Co. and a retired Baptist 
minister having served churches for 35 years.
 The Rev. Spivey pastored Snow Hill, Mount Zion, Blue Springs, New Bethel, and 
Central Drive; East Dublin Baptist churches, all in Laurens County: Ivey 
Chapel Baptist Church in Johnson County, Red Bluff Baptist Church in Treutlen 
County, and Midddle Ground Baptist Church in Dodge County. He died Sunday at 
an Augusta hospital.
 Survivors include his wife, Nancy Spivey of Dublin; two daughters, Mrs. Ben 
Parker Jr. of Wrightsville and Mrs. H. W. Wilder Jr. of Dublin; five 
grandchildren, Judy Wood of Sandersville, Jennifer Larimore of Sandersville, 
Vann Kitchens of Wrightsville, Wendy Smith of Athens, and Pam Sturgis of 
Dublin.
 Pallbearers will be David Wood, Allen Kitchens, Glenn Hawkins, Wendell Smith, 
Calvin Sturgis, and Edgar Perry.
 The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Sturgis, 112 Trinty 
Road and will receive friends from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
