Starley, 68, were held this afternoon from the Buckhorn Methodist Church and burial followed in the church cemetery. Officiating ministers were the Rev. C. E. Vines and C. D. Studstill. Townsend Bros. Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were James Davis, Ellis Davis, Layman Davis, Lewis NeSmith, Fred Phillips, and Pete Phillips. Mrs. Starley was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She died in Barnhill, SC, at the home of her daughter after declining health for some time. She was a member of the Buckhorn Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, M. M. Starley; one daughters, Mrs. Marie Porter, Barnhill, SC; seven sons, Prentice Starley, Ft. Benning, Jessie Starley of Thomaston, Eldridge Starley, Ft. Campbell, KY, Alva Starley, Dublin, B. F., Marvin, and Harold Starley, Macon; two brothers, Frank and Curtis Davis, Dexter; three sisters, Mrs. J. J. NeSmith, Mrs. J. O. Phillips, and Mrs. Lonnie Horne, all of Dexter; and nineteen grandchildren. Additional Comments: Annie was born 20 Oct 1886 to Elbert L. Davis and Sarah Drucilla Darsey Davis. Her husband was Mark M. Starley who is also buried in Buckhorn.
