                        Clayton L. Stevens
 Services for Mr. Clayton L. Stevens, 85, of Rentz will be held at 11am Friday 
at Faith Christian Assembly. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in 
Dexter. Rev. Douglas Bridges and Rev. James Covington will officiate.
 Mr. Stevens was born in Lauresn County. He was the son of the late William 
Lewis Stevens and the late Trellie Maude Howell Stevens. He was a US Army 
veteran of World War II. Mr. Stevens was a welder by trade. He was retired 
from Chrysler Corp. Her spent most of his adult life in Fostoria, Ohio, 
returning to Laurens County after his retirement. He attended Faith Christian 
Assembly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corine Bloodworth Stevens. He 
died Wednesday.
 Survivors include his wife, Judy Stevens of Rentz; children, Elizabeth Burke 
of Fostoria, Ohio, Brenda Niswander of Kissimmee, Fla., Donna Thomas of 
Cadwell, Buddy Jump of Dublin, and Ron Jump of Dublin; sisters and brothers, 
Thomas (Pete) Stevens of Cadwell, Nelline Gay and Georgia Swymer of Eastman, 
Katherine Rowland of Wrightsville, Bonnie Stuckey of Green Cove Springs, Fla., 
G. O. Stevens of Milledgeville, Tennyson Stevens of Savannah, and Junior 
Stevens of Milledgeville; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 4 
great-great-grandchildren.
 Ricky Allgood, Carey Alligood, Don Warren, Glenn Warren, Tommy Allgood, Toby 
Gay, and Michael Barella will serve as pallbearers.
 The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home tonight 
from 6 until 8pm.
 Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
