(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net March 20, 2013, 7:16 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 11-2-1965 Mrs. Drusillar Howell Stevens Funeral services for Mrs. Drusillar Howell Stevens, 62 of Rentz Rt. 1, will be held Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Reedy Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery and Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and the body will lie in state at the church from two P. M. Mrs. Stevens, a native of Laurens County, died Monday afternoon in an Warner Robins hospital after an extended illness. She was a member of the Reedy Springs Primitive Baptist Church near Cadwell. She is survived by four sons, Joseph W. Stevens of Macon, Cecil Stevens of Thomasville, Fred M. Stevens of Rentz, and Wayne Stevens of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. C. J. Knight of Rentz and Mrs. Etheridge Warren of Macon; one brother, General Howell of Eastman; four sisters, Mrs. Lewis Stevens of Cadwell, Mrs. Addie Gay of Macon, Mrs. Alice Mullis of Chester, and Mrs. Lucy Darsey of Jesup; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Additional Comments: Drusillar was born 16 Feb 1903 to Andrew Jackson Howell and Nancy E. Mullis Howell. Her husband was Joseph Martin Stevens Jr. who is also buried at Reedy Springs.
