                               Corine Stevens

 Services for Corine Smallwood Stevens, 73, of Route 1 Rentz, will be held at 
2pm Wednesday in the chapel of Townsend Funeral Home in Dublin. The Rev. Curtis 
Sumner will officiate and burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dexter.

 A native of Wilkinson County, Mrs. Stevens was the daughter of the late Aaron 
Bartley and Bessie King Smallwood. A resident of Fostoria, Ohio for 36 years 
before moving back to Laurens County three years ago, she was a homemaker and a 
member of Fostoria Baptist Church. Mrs. Stevens died Sunday night at a local 
nursing home after an extended illness. 

 Survivors include her husband, Clayton Stevens of Rentz; her daughter, 
Elizaberth Burk of Fostoria; her step daughter, Brenda Niswander of Fostoria; 
three brothers, Alton Smallwood of Columbus and Curtis Smallwood and Andy 
Smallwood, both of Macon; three sisters, Lizzie Mae Smallwood of Macon, Frances 
Moseley of Lake Sinclair, and Catherine Smith of Cochran; 10 grandchildren; and 
16 great-grandchildren.

 Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

 The family will receive friends from 6:30-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
