Stewart, 85, of 15-B Colonial Ter., died Tuesday night. Funeral services will be held at 11 today in the Union Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hart's Mortuary is in charge. Mr. Stewart was born in Laurens County and had lived in Macon for 45 years. He was a retired packing company employee and a member of Silver Leaf Baptist Church in Dublin. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Emma Daniel, Mrs. Eva Beck, and Mrs. Johnny Mae Chambers, all of Macon and Mrs. Clara Grooms of Lizella; one son, Rawlin Stewart of Macon; one sister, Mrs. Nancy Mim of Macon; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Additional Comments: John was born 29 Nov 1886 to Nathan F. Stewart and Eliza "Lizzie" Flanders Stewart. His wife was Nancy L. "Nannie" Mimbs Stewart who is also buried in Union Primitive Baptist Church in Laurens County. Georgia death certificate #004876.
