Shepard, Robert Melton, 88, of St. Petersburg, died
Tuesday (July 9, 1991) of natural causes at the
Masonic Home of Florida.  Born in Dublin, GA. May 7,
1903 to Freeman James Shepard and Minnie Howard
Shepard, he came here recently from Ocala (FL),
where he had lived since 1973 and was a member of
Marston Lodge 49 F&AM.  He was retired bus driver in
Coral Gables (FL).   He was a Baptist. Survivors
include two sons, William D. Of Miami, Robert M.
Jr., of Stanardsville, VA., a daughter, Kathryn
Mervine, Plainsboro, N.J., a half-brother E. B.
Godwin, a half-sister Marian Carlyle, both of Ft.
McCoy (FL), and three grandchildren, Robert M, III,
Jeanette Michele, and Kimberly Ann Shepard.  Mr
Shepard was interred in the Memorial Park Cemetery
of St. Petersburg on Saturday, July 13th, 1991.
