The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Stanley Funeral Home, Dublin, with the Rev. William Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Tyson, a native of Laurens County, was retired. He was an Army veteran and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Susie Mae Tyson; eight sons, Dennis Tyson and Kenneth Tyson, both of Austin, Texas, Boyce Tyson, Houston Eddie Tyson, Jeffery Tyson, Whalin Tyson, Jerry Tyson and Gary Tyson, all of East Dublin; four daughters, Lois Ann Halley, New Smyrna, Fla., Rachel Tyson, Tammy Smith and Amanda Tyson, all of East Dublin; five brothers, Wilmer Tyson, Atlanta, Charles Tyson, Pensacola, Fla., and Cecil Tyson, Donald Tyson and Junior Tyson, all of East Dublin; five sisters, Dora Mae Milton and Betty Jean Thigpen, both of East Dublin, Patsy Burgess, Bartow, Fla., Theresa Tyson, Ohio, and Julie Bell, Ellijay; and 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home Additional Comments: James was born 6 Jun 1930 to John W. Tyson Sr. and Fannie Bush Tyson.
