Tyson, 51, of 325 Clover Street, will be held at 3PM Tuesday in the chapel of Stanley Funeral Home in Dublin. The Rev. W. L. Currie and the Rev. Bill Garrett will officiate and burial will be in Northview Cemetery. A native of Titusville, Fla., Mr. Tyson lived in Laurens County most of his life, and was the son of the late John Washington and Fannie Mae Bush Tyson, was an Army veteran, and was retired and a member of the Baptist faith. He died Sunday in a Dublin hospital. Survivors include his wife, Janice Marie Tyson of East Dublin; two sons, Michael Tyson of Dublin and Cecil Wade Tyson of Adrian; a daughter, Roxann Tyson of East Dublin; four brothers, John W. Tyson of Stone Mountain, Wilmer (Ped) Tyson of Morrow, Charles L. Tyson of Pensacola, and Donald E. Tyson of East Dublin; five sisters, Julia Bell Weaver of Ellijay, Dora Mae Melton of East Dublin, Patsy Burgess of Eagle Lake, Fla., Betty Jean Thigpen of Dublin, and Teresa Wigley of Cincinnati, Ohio; and four grandchildren. Ray Daniels, Greg Glover, Kenny Ray Tyson, Ronnie Johnson, Harold Ussery, and David Jones will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Stanley Funeral Home in Dublin, who has charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Cecil was born 27 Sep 1943. Georgia death certificate #043732.
