Tyson, East Dublin Citizen, Dies John W, Tyson, 77, of 511 Clover Street, East Dublin, died unexpectedly Wednesday. Native of Washington County, he had lived at his present address for six years. He was the son of the late George W. Tyson and Julie Edwards Tyson and was retired from the Florida Highway Department. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Fannie Mae Bush of East Dublin; six sons, Johnny Tyson of the US Forces in Korea, Charles Lee Tyson of Pensacola, Fla., Cecil Adams Tyson of Atlanta, Donald Tyson and J. W. Tyson Jr, both of East Dublin, and Arthur L. Tyson of Dublin; six daughters, Mrs. Dora Mae Melton, Miss Betty Jean Tyson, and Miss Theresa Lee Tyson, all of East Dublin, Mrs. Julia Bell Weaver of Ellijay, Mrs. Kathrine Rawls of Wrightsville, and Mrs. Patsy Ann Burgess of Bartow, Fla.; two stepsons, James Tyson of Orlando, Fla. and Welmer Tyson of Atlanta; 27 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and a number of other relatives. Funeral plans will be announved by Adams Funeral Home. Additional Comments: John was born 28 Jan 1889. Georgia death certificate #006733. His first wife was Sarah A. "Sallie" Cobb Tyson. He is buried in Bay Springs Cemetery in Johnson County.
