Hayslip of the county of Lee and State aforesaid, of the one part, and Arrington H. Phillips, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said John W. Hayslip as aforesaid, doth by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey-unto him the said Arrington H. Phillips, all that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the First District of Lee county, known and distinguished in the plan of said District by the #15 (with a reservation of 5 acres in the North-east corner of said lot), being one hundred and ninety seven and 1/2 acres, more or less, with all the rights, member and appurtenances to said lot of land in any manner belonging. To have and to hold said lot of land with all the rights, members and appurtenances, unto him the said Arrington H. Phillips, his heirs, executors and administrators, to their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever, in fee simple. ! And the said John W. Hayslip the right and appurtenances to said lot of land unto him the said Arrington H. Phillips, his heirs, executors and administrators, and against all other persons whatsoever. In testomony whereof, the said John W. Hayslip hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, the day and year first above written. Signed, sealed and delivered in presense of: John W. Walker- who being duly sworn saith-that he saw Daniel Bustle assign the within Deed with himself as witness to the same. J. W. Walker B. G. Smith, J. P. Georgia, Lee CO: This indenture, made and entered into this, the 23rd day of November, 1853, between Nancy Kelly-widow of Andrew Kelly, late of said county, deceased, of the one part, being of the County of Lee, Arrington H. Phillips, of the County of Sumter, both of the state aforesaid, of the other part; witnesseth, that for the sum of one hundred dollars, to her in hand paid, she, the said Nancy Kelly-widow as aforesaid, on the day and year above written, bargained and sold, and does by these presents bargain and sell unto the said Arrington H. Phillips, all the right of Dower which she as widow of the said Andrew Kelly had, or was in any manner entitled to, in Lot of land number 15, being, lying and situated in the First district of the county and state aforesaid; and she does by these presents relinquish all claim whatsoever to the said right of dower in the said lot of land number 15 as aforesaid, and all the right, title and appurtenances of or concerning the said dower. She warrants! and defends against herself, heirs and assigns, and all other persons whatsoever unto the said Arrington H. Phillips, his heirs assigns, executors, and administrators, in Fee simple. It was posted in an early Georgia newspaper (The Macon?) 2/28/1849: Lee Co, GA: Will be sold before the Court House door in said county on the 1st Tuesday in May, next, between the legal hours of sale, all the property belonging to the estate of Andrew Kelley, late of said co, deceased. Sold for the benefit of the heirs and creditors of said estate.
