Five administrators held the position of principal. 19**-1917 A.E. Robinson 1917-1921 Mrs. Sallie Durden 1921-1925 Miss Mildred Williams 1925-1927 Mrs. Emma L. Gordon 1928-1928 Professor Graves (unlisted first name) Smithville’s new Rosenwald School consisted of four regular classrooms. There were four teacher-student storage rooms, one assembly hall and two office- utility rooms. 1928-1931 Professor Graves (Professor Graves was replaced after mid-term) 1931-1931 Miss Olivia Mitchell (Miss Mitchell served until the end of the year.) 1931-1934 Rev. Luther Johnson 1934-1937 Rev. G.P. McKinney 1937-1939 Rev. O.B. Collins 1939-1942 Professor Caesar Williams 1942-1944 Mrs. A.J. Ross 1944-1945 Mrs. Edwina Edwards-Reeves 1945-1946 Rev. L.J. Jones 1946-1947 Professor Solomon Berry (Two additional classrooms were built.) 1947-1948 Professor King 1948-1949 Mrs. Mary Dunham 1949-1951 Professor Charles Lindsay 1951-1952 Professor Leo Henry 1952-1955 Professor Clennon King (This school was closed due to consolidation) Dr. Z.B. Anderson was also a teacher and principal in Lee County, Georgia. The exact time that he served as principal is not indicated on any of the documents that are in my possession. It is only stated that he was principal during war time! In the fall of 1955 all Black Schools in Lee County were consolidated into one large school. The new school was given the name of Lee County Training School. The Training School consisted of students from first through eleventh grades. The twelfth graders attended schools such as Gillespie-Selden in Cordele, Georgia. A few Church School Principals before consolidation of all Black schools. There were forty-one teachers and approximately 1,500 students. Harry Goens, Principal, Leesburg District was reassigned to the High School Fairlella Lewis, Principal Saint John, reassigned to the Primary Department William Berry, Principal, Chokee, was reassigned as the Agriculture Teacher Annie Waters, Principal at Waters Crossing, she was not reassigned. Harry Goens was a resident of Denver Colorado. Williams Berry and Solomon Berry were brothers. Principals of Lee County Training School Mr. Johnny J. Jones Mr. Moses L. Solomon Mr. James Mixon Dr. Moses Lightfoot Sr. Dr. Moses Lightfoot Sr. was the last principal assigned to the Lee County Training School. In the fall of 1971 all Black and White Schools were consolidated in Lee County, Georgia. Mr. Lightfoot was reassigned as the Principal of Lee County Elementary School. Lee County Training school became a primary school and all of the high school students were transferred to Lee County High School.
