Mrs. Josie Cowart Is Claimed by Death
  Mrs. Josie Cowart, of Smithville, died in a
sanitarium in Milledgeville Monday night. She
was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. A.
Rhodes of Smithville, and was of prominent and
wealthy family.
   She was a devoted and consistant member of the 
Smithville Baptist church and took extensive 
interest in all religious affairs.
   She is survived by a son, Wilbur Cowart, of
Albany, a sister Mrs. Chas. Teska?, of Smithville,
a brother, Cecil Rhodes of Jacksonville, Fla.
   Interment will take place in Smithville.
Funeral plans had not been announced Thursday.
