J. Haddocks a terpentine operator who lives at Warwick, on last Sunday evening Mr. T. J. Haddock was playing with a little child and in doing so a pistol, which he carried in his hip pocket dropped striking the rocker of the chair in which he was sitting and fired the ball entering his side just above the hip ranging upward and passing through the heart causing instant death. Thus it will be seen that the weapon he carried to defend himself with caused his own death."
