Obituary Notice - Ella Elizabeth Pye Ruis

  Ella Elizabeth Pye Ruis, 92, of Doerun, died Wednesday at Palmyra Park 
Hospital in Albany Following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services will be held 
at 3 p. m. today at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Lawson 
officiating.  Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
  Pallbearers include Wayne Ruis, Greg Barfield, Quinnon Walker, Odell Davis, 
Ladolphus Ruis, Larry Ruis and Larry Douglas.
  Mrs. Ruis was born in Worth County on Oct. 22, 1894, the daughter of the late 
Augustus Pye and Missouri Powell Pye.  She had lived in Doerun most of her life 
and spent the past seven years in Albany.  She was the wife of the late 
Mitchell Winfield Ruis.
  Survivors include three sons, Elton Ruis of Moultrie, Olon Ruis of Doerun, 
and Donald Ruis of Albany; four daughters, Mrs. Ocia Leen Davis of Warner 
Robins, and Mrs. Bloncile Walker, Mrs. Elyse Jones and Mrs. Betty Barfield, all 
of Albany; two brothers, Walter Pye and Wesley Pye, both of Albany; two 
sisters, Mrs. Mary Butler and Mrs. Della Lawson, both of Albany; 19 
grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
