"Leesburg Woman Dies; Funeral This Afternoon"

Mrs. Willie L. Chambers, 69, died Wednesday afternoon at her home in Leesburg 
after a prolonged illness.
Mrs. Chambers had made her home in Leesburg for the last 30 years and was the 
former Miss Mamie Harrison of Early County. Her husband preceded her in death 
five months ago. She was a member of the Leesburg Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Julia Hall of Leesburg; one 
son, Lee Merritt of Leesburg; three sisters, Mrs. H. R. Greene of St. 
Petersburg, FL, Mrs. T. C. Hardy of Bainbridge and Mrs. Beatrice Reynolds of 
Enterprise, Ala; four brothers, J. C. and J. E. Harrison both of St. 
Petersburg, Fla. Bill Harrison of Dawson and Irvin Vann of Milledgeville.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 4 o'clock in the chapel of the 
Albany Undertaking Company by the Rev. G. Ashton Smith pastor of the Leesburg 
Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Thundering Springs Cemetery.
The following will serve as active pallbearers; J. J. Barber, Earl Leverett, J. 
C. Eubanks, Bill Manning, James Fore and Jack Fore.
