SLAUGHTER, JESSIE TRICE
Mrs. Slaughter, 104, of 1109 GA Hwy 377, Smithville, GA was born October 15, 
1892 in Lee County, GA to Gus and Fannie Trice.  She was a member of Pleasant 
Hill Baptist Church in Smithville and married Mr. Achella Slaughter.  The had 
one daughter, Fannie Lee Robinson who preceded her in death (1989).  She moved 
to Aliquippa, PA, living with her daughter. They returned to Albany, Dougherty 
County, GA and lived until 1989,  Mrs. Slaughter then returned to Lee County, 
living with her niece, Mrs. Charlie Lon (Elijah)  Reddick.  She entered 
Lillian Carter Nursing Center in December 1995.  She  died Wednesday, April 2, 
1997 at the Lillian Carter Nursing Center in Plains, Schley County, GA.  
Funeral services were held at 3:00, Monday, April 7, 1997 at Mt Pleasant 
Baptist Church in Smithville, GA.  Reverend Hosley officiated. Survivors 
include 3 nieces: Mrs Charlie Lon (Elijah) Reddick, Ms. Laura  and Ms Jessie 
Trice; 5 nephews, Marcellous Trice, Robert Trice, Johnny Lee Trice and O D 
Trice.
