Obituary, Americus, GA, Jan 1986
SLAUGHTER, ELLEN EMMA 
Mrs. Slaughter was born in Lee County, GA in 1907 and was a member of Mt 
Pleasant Baptist Church, served as an usher for 50 years.  She  died January 
20, 1986 at Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus, GA.  Funeral services were 
held at 1:00, Saturday, January 25, 986 at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church in 
Smithville; Reverend James Redding Officiated. Burial in Mt Pleasant Baptist 
Church cemetery.  Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Willie C Fisher of 
Jonesboro, GA, an aunt, Mrs. King of Dawson, GA and a cousin, Mrs. Willie 
Florence Reid of Tampa, FL
