This is the new marker, ordered by his great grandson, 
Leonard E. Avera and placed on the grave of 
Thomas Jefferson Avera  by the Sons of the Confederacy in 1998. 
The grave beside him was also identified by Ben Young as that  
of his wife Mary J. Marsh Avera and a marker was placed there also
