All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002523 November 22, 2009, 9:12 am Parish of Saint Andrew (Colonial) Written: December 9, 1771 Recorded: January 20, 1772 Colonial Deed Book 1, p. 252 This Indenture made the ninth day of December in the Twelfth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one Between Richard Baker of the Parish of Saint John in the province aforesaid planter of the first part Joseph Hopkins and Thomas Stephens of the same Parish Planters of the second part and George McIntosh of the parish of Saint Andrew Planter of the third part Witnesseth that the said Richard Baker Joseph Stephens and Thomas Stephens for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings Sterling to them or one of them in hand well and truly paid by the said George McIntosh at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged they the said Richard Baker Joseph Stephens and Thomas Stephens Have and by these Presents Do bargain and Sell unto the said George McIntosh all that Tract of Land Containing Three Hundred acres Situate and being in the Parish of Saint Andrew in the province aforesaid Bounded on Every Side by Land vacant at the time of the survey thereof Together with all and singular the Houses Buildings Improvements Yards Gardens orchards Lands Trees Woods under woods ways waters paths Passages Fishing Profits Priviledges advantages Instruments and Hereditaments whatsoever to the said Tract of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and to the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof with their appertenances To have and to hold the said Tract of Three hundred acres of Land / be the same more or Less and all and singular other the premises herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby Bargained and sold with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said George McIntosh his Executors administrators and assigns from the day next before the day of the date hereof for and during and unto the full and Term of one whole year from thence next Ensuing and fully to be Compleat and ended yielding and paying therefore unto the said Richard Baker Joseph Stephens and Thomas Stephens their heirs or assigns the rent of one Pepper Corn only on the Last day of the said Term if the same shall be Demanded to the intent and purpose that by virtue of these presents and of the statute for transferring uses into Possession the said George McIntosh may be to the said George McIntosh may be in the actual Possession of all and singular the hereby Bargained premises with the appertenances and by thereby Enabled to accept and take a grant and release of the reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and his Heirs forever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents their Hands and seals have hereunto Interchangeably set the day & year first above written Sealed and Delivered In the presence of Parmenas Way J.P.
