Tonin; Tonin1@airmail.net Liberty County Superior Court Deeds and Mortgages Book F (1804 -1809) FHC # 0175224 Page 178 Georgia, This Deed made this ninth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and three in the Twenty second year of America's Independence Between EDMUND LANKFORD of the State above mentioned and County of Liberty on the One part and JOHN COLEMAN of the same State and County, before the sealing and delivery of the Deeed to the said JOHN COLEMAN One hundred acres of land lying on Little Oanouchee, in the State and County above mentioned, the said land was granted to JOHN DIXON by his Honor the Governor JAMES JACKSON, and conveyed by the said JOHN DIXON to the said EDMUND LANKFORD the fifth day of September 1798 by deed of Conveyance, the said lands bounded by lands of --?gh's North, South by lands of SILVANUS ROBERTSON, East by Vacant, West by JONATHAN ROBERTSON and vacant. The said EDMUND LANKFORD doth hereby acknowledge that he hath and is fully compensated by and from the said JOHN COLEMAN for the above mentioned Tract or parcel of land, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said EDMUND LANKFORD hath bargained sold and released unto the said JOHN COLEMAN his heirs and assigns forever All that tract as parcel of land containing one hundred acres as the plat of the same fully represents, be the same more or less; I the said EDMUND LANKFORD as above mentioned doth hereby quit all claim, right or title to the above mentioned land and premisses in manner as above mentioned against myself my heirs and assigns forever, to the only proper use and behoof of him the said JOHN COLEMAN himself his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple, that he the said JOHN COLEMAN, his heirs and assigns shall and may from this day henceforward enjoy peaceably possession of the above mentioned land and premisses- I bind myself my heirs and assigns to support the same to JOHN COLEMAN himself, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim of all person or persons whatsoever.
