All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002523 November 21, 2009, 2:22 am Written: December 17, 1773 Recorded: January 12, 1774 Colonial Deed Book X2, p. 1069 This Indenture made the seventeenth day of December in the fourteenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the Faith and so forth in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between Lydia Winn Wife of John Winn Senior of Saint Johns parish and province of Georgia Planter of the one part and John Winn Junior of the said parish and province Planter of the other part Witness that the said Lydia Winn for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings to her in hand paid by the said John Winn Junior at and before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said John Winn Junior his heirs and assigns a Certain Parcel or Tract of Land containing about three hundred acres be the same more or Less in Saint Johns parish aforesaid bounded Easterly on lands of Samuel Stevens and southerly on land of James Reed Esquire & Westerly on lands of said Lydia Winn northerly on lands of John Winn Senr and John Winn Junr Together will all the Houses Buildings Improvements Hereditaments Priviledges and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining and the reversion and reversions and remainder and remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and of all and singular the premises and of every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said Tract of three hundred acres of Land and all and singular other the premises herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said John Winn Junior his heirs and assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for and during and unto the end and Term of one whole year from thence next ensuing and fully to be completed and ended yielding and paying therefore unto the said Lydia Winn her Exors & adminr the rent of one Pepper Corn on the Last day of the said Term if Lawfully Demanded to the Intent and purpose that virtue of these presents and of the statute for transforming uses into Possession the said John Winn ____ may be in the actual Possession of the premises with their appurtenances and be thereby enabled to accept and take a grant and release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to her the said John Will Junior his heirs & assigns Witness whereof the said Lydia Winn hath hereunto set her Hand and Seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of Lydia Winn Catherine Bell Thos Bacon Peter Winn Recorded 12th January 1774 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/liberty/deeds/winn196ndd.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 3.4 Kb
