Clyde married Catherine Emma DUBOSE on 9 Nov 1930 in Long Co. His parents were Thomas Jefferson CHAPMAN, "Bud", born 22 Aug 1844 in Jones Creek Community of Liberty County, died 26 Nov 1914 and was buried in Jones Creek, Liberty, Georgia. Bud married Mary Alverda BAGGS on 3 Sep 1891 in Liberty Co. Thomas Jefferson "Bud" Chapman was also married to Christiana Fletcher and Alice Linwood Smith. Additional Comments: Clyde Lamar Chapman married Catherine DuBose, daughter of Samuel Byrd and Jennie Blount DuBose. Mrs. Chapman's grandfather, George A. Blount was a Baptist minister for about 50 years. His known history runs back to the ninth or tenth century. Clyde and Catherine had three children. Clyde Lamar was clerk of the New Sunbury Association for twenty years, and the family historian. He also wrote, "A History of the Chapman Family".
