The Atlanta Constitution June 25, 1891
Harlem, Ga., June 24. -- Mr. G. C. Atkinson brought back from Lincoln county 
quite a curiosity in the way of a hen egg.  It is about twice as large as a 
common hen egg, and curiously shaped.  It is of an oblong shape, with a sharp 
point at one end, and at this end the egg is soft.  It measured six inches 
around and eight and one-half inches in length.
