I, Zachariah Spires, being weak in body by reason of sickness, yet of a sound mind & memory. My will is that my just debts are paid out of the estate. I give unto my beloved wife, Rhoda Spires, one negro named Sall, also one half of that tract of land that Hezekiah Bussey & myself bought from Ann Wilson in Baldwin County, with one third of stock, household furniture, also the negro woman that Mr. John Cole put in my hands for money, is redeem, the money is to buy another woman or man for my wife's use during her life time, then to be divided among the chn. to wit: Hezekiah Spires & Patience Edmonson. I give unto my son, Hezekiah, one third of the stock, household furniture. I give unto my dtr. Patience Edmonson, the lower 190 acres that fell to me in the lottery in Wayne County, also one third of the stock, household furniture. I give unto my Grandson, Zachariah Spires, the son of Hezekiah Spires, one negro boy named Man. I give unto my Grandson, Zachariah Edmonson, son of my dtr. Patience Edmonson, one negro boy named Jack. I appoint Rhoda Spires & my son Hezekiah Spires & my son-in-law Thomas Edmonson as executors. Wit: Robt. Walton, James Gorby & John Cole.
