Fort Stewart Cemetery Number 6, located in Area D-16.
Land Acquisition Tract Number: 1462. Acreage: .47.
Former Property Owner: Zion Traveler Baptist Cemetery.
Map Grid Coordinates -Vertical: 31.9, Horizontal: 18.5.

West on GA-144 toward Glennville to FS-1. Left on FS-1,
6/10 mile to cemetery on right. Cemetery is about 50
yards off FS-1.

Survey made 6/5/90 by Wyman May and Charles Zoucks.

1       Dunson. Dan, Private, 157 Depot Brig., died Jun 15, 1938

Note:   Private Dan Dunson’s military record shows his serial number as 3,993,661. He was born in Hinesville, Georgia, March 17, 1895. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in Hinesville, July 18, 1918 and received an honorable discharge on December 22, 1918. All time served in the United States.
