I know usually these familys that are buried at the church attended thee also. What i am looking for is the marriage of there daughter sometime possibly in the 1829 -30 somewhere close to James Isham Lewis. I also wonder if there were any Lewis's who possibly were attending this church. Isham and Matilda had one son James M. Lewis. When Matilda died the grandparents raised James. If anyone attends this church or has a book on the history and would be so kind as to check and see if these names or Lewis names appear i would greatly appreciate you checking it out and letting me know. Thank you Terry Howell. Clarissa Gibson i know is buried in the Cemetary =========History of Cat Creek Church======= "The Cat Creek Church, located at Cat Creek, Georgia, was constituted on June 29, 1867, with five charter members, which has increased in the years to something near one hundred. The charter members were Mr. and Mrs. Wm, B Davis, Mr and Mrs Owen Gibson and John I Martin. The names of those constituting the Presbytery are not obtainable, but the pastors serving the church since it's constitution are Elders A.A. Knight; J.L. Harris; T.W. Stallings and Ansel Parrish. The deacons are R.H. Knight; Thomas Banks; George A Fiveash; I.W. Peters; B.S. Stalvey and P.H. Gaskins. And the clerks are W.C. Martin; E.L. Moore; J.A. Johnson and W.E. Redding." George A Fiveash, above, is my great grandfather. The book was first published in 1942 and I have the reprinted version from 1995. It is published by the General James Jackson Chapter, D.A.R.; Valdosta, Georgia.
