                                Melvin C. Foskey
 Melvin C. Foskey, 46, of 743 E. Ann St. died Saturday at South Georgia 
Medical Center of head and back injuries he received in a fall down a flight 
of stairs Tuesday afternoon.
 He was a Baxley native and a member of Open Bible Church.
 He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Melinda Brown of Valdosta; his mother, 
Mrs. Birdie M. Foskey of Valdosta; seven sisters, Mrs. Ada Foreman and Mrs. 
Barbara Templeton of Valdosta, Mrs. Jo Anne Rutland of Lake Park, Mrs. Betty 
Grossman of Riverview, Fla., Mrs. Dorothy Fricks of Graham, NC., Mrs. Lois 
Smith of Palatka, Fla., and Mrs. Mary Vaughn of Baxley; and one brother, 
Richard O. Foskey of Valdosta.
 Funeral services are to be held at 11am at Carson McLane Funeral Home here 
with the Rev. Carroll Joye, pastor of Open Bible Church, and the Rev. William 
C. Smith, officiating. Burial is to be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Melvin was born 13 Jul 1933 to Oliver Columbus Foskey and Birdie Mae Yates 
Foskey. Georgia death certificate #009093.
