Born May 22, 1918, in Berrien County to the late Charlie and Sarah Sylvania Spradley Crumbley, she was a homemaker and the widow of Arthur Griffin who died in 1970. Survivors include two daughters, Melba Jean Browning of Walnut Grove and Sylvia Brown of Valdosta; son, Johnny Griffin of Morrow; sister, Mary Karl Tucker of Land-O-Lakes, FL; two half-sisters, Sara Luke of Nashville and Geneva Curry of Tallahassee, FL; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Arthur Jim Griffin, Wesley Griffin, Pete Griffin. Funeral services were held August 7 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll Fly Away” were played on CD. Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery. Selected family member served as pallbearers. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
