 Angela Griffin Hughes, 48, of Valdosta died suddenly on November 8, 2013.
 She was born on June 20, 1965 in Valdosta. A 1984 graduate of Lowndes High 
School, she went on to receive her B.S., M.Ed, and Specialist degrees from 
Valdosta State University. She taught school for many years  in the Griffin 
City, Lanier County and Lowndes County School Systems, where she was active in 
school and system activities such as Community Partners in Education. She loved 
spending time at the beach and traveling to many other places as well. She 
loved her family and spending time with them and held a special love for 
animals, especially her pets.
 Survivors include her daughter, Lindsay Hughes of Valdosta; mother, Marilyn 
Griffin of Valdosta; father, Densol Griffin of Valdosta; many aunts, uncle and 
cousins.
 Funeral services were held November 11 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Carson 
McLane Funeral home with Pastor Carrol Joye officiating.
 Interment was in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
 Carson McLane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
